Context

The “Mon Espace Numérique de Santé” (ENS) platform is a national digital health service for French citizens. I joined the Atos France Cloud/DevOps team to design and deploy the OpenShift container platform on VMware infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Ran technical workshops to define the platform roadmap, gather requirements and produce HLD/LLD architecture documents
  • Deployed and administered OpenShift 4 clusters on VMware vSphere with fully automated, repeatable installation scripts
  • Configured post-installation components: monitoring, logging (ELK), alerting, image registry, StorageClass, authentication via RHIDM/LDAP, TLS certificates
  • Implemented GitOps CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD and GitLab
  • Migrated existing OpenShift applications and persistent volumes between clusters with zero data loss
  • Deployed backup/restore solution using OADP (OpenShift API for Data Protection)
  • Produced installation guides, runbooks and operating documentation
  • Trained application and operations teams on platform usage

Key Achievements

  • Delivered production-ready platform on time for the national ENS launch
  • Automated 100% of cluster deployment, reducing human error and install time
  • Trained 20+ developers and operators on OpenShift and GitOps practices

Technical environment: OpenShift 4, VMware vSphere, GitLab, Artifactory, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, RHIDM, LDAP, Kustomize, Ansible, ArgoCD, OADP, Prometheus, Helm
